Open MRI of Southington is proud to be the home of Central Connecticut’s 1st Hitachi High-Field Open Oasis MRI Scanning System. With patient comfort in mind, our Open MRI scanner combines a powerful 1.2 Tesla field strength with advanced MR technology to deliver quality high resolution images.

In addition to delivering high resolution images, the strength of our scanner provides faster scan times when compared to other MRIs of a lower field strength. Most scans are completed in less than 30 minutes.

Our facility provides a valuable alternative to many people who have been unable to have MRIs or MRAs for various reasons, such as claustrophobia , claustrophobic- like syndrome, or being larger than average in size. To provide maximum comfort our scanner is open on all 4 sides. Patients can even have a loved one stay with them or hold their hand while they are having their MRI.

Our facility offers a friendly environment with a caring and compassionate team of representatives, skilled technologists, and experienced radiologists who take pride in providing a personalized experience for each patient.

We are centrally located in Connecticut and offer convenient appointments Monday thru Friday from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.

 Appointments are available in 24 hours or less and reports faxed to the referring physician within 24 hours after the scan is complete.
